Teeth whitening is the one cosmetic dental treatment that can dramatically beautify the smile of nearly every patient and produce those results over your lunch hour!
Often, regular brushing is simply not enough to completely remove stubborn stains from smoking, coffee, tea, and certain foods. Teeth whitening is the perfect solution for such problem stains and can be performed using at-home kits or as an in-chair procedure performed by a Smile Studios cosmetic dentist.
You immediately gain a brighter, whiter, healthier looking smile after each teeth whitening application, which normally are completed in three 15-minute sessions.

Tooth whitening is a safe procedure, when all protective steps are taken. Gums must be protected before applying the whitening gel, using by applying a substance that will form a barrier against the gel. A special light is used to activate the whitening gel, which stays on the teeth for 20 or more minutes, depending on the whitening product being used. The gel is then washed off and the gum barrier removed, leaving beautifully white teeth.
Teeth whitening using the tray method involves making an impression of your teeth in order to create a tray that will exactly match your teeth when placed over them. When the tray is ready it will be used with a whitening solution which is placed into each tooth impression in the tray. The tray is then pressed into place over your teeth and the whitening solution will only touch tooth surfaces, not your gums. The trays are kept in place for the designated time period and then removed to reveal your bright, white teeth.
